From the Chairman:
Thank you for visiting our website! As Edmund Burke famously said, “All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” After six years of doing nothing other than voting, I decided to get involved in politics at a deeper level. Barack Obama had been elected President and the Obamacare bill had just been signed into law. I felt like our country was on the precipice of becoming a European-style socialist state.
In 2010 I began volunteering on political campaigns for conservative Christian candidates. I attended the Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C. for a week-long campaign management school, never imagining that I might one day be a candidate myself.
Many of the candidates I worked for in those early years were unsuccessful, but I learned valuable lessons each time someone lost. A good political campaign requires a solid platform, a lot of grassroots effort, and of course, money. So many of the candidates I helped had the first two pieces of the puzzle figured out but lacked the funds to get their message out!
The sad reality of American politics today is that money is a necessary evil. In fact, the candidate with the most money wins 91% of the time! I have been a part of several campaigns that fall in that 9% category where my candidate was able to win through sheer effort, but these are by far the exception to the rule.
This brought me to the obvious conclusion that our candidates were losing due to lack of resources. I am determined to help solve this problem…hence the birth of U.S. Christian Citizens Political Action Committee.
In order to get support from U.S. Christian Citizens PAC, a candidate must pass a two-part test: they must be principled and viable. Everyone knows people who are right on the issues but are unelectable as a candidate. Everyone also knows people who are natural born politicians, but that don’t share our values. Neither of those two combinations will do us any good! However, conservative Christian candidates who run excellent campaigns but just simply lack financial resources necessary to win will receive our strong support!
I appreciate you taking the time to visit our website, and please consider making a contribution to our cause! We wish to become a renewable resource for conservative Christian candidates for decades to come.
Sincerely,
Andrew Sorrell
PAC Chairman
